Pēpēha / Mihimihi - Journey of your origins.

This term we are looking at Mihi, Waitangi Day and War and Peace.  Our Mihi/pēpēha will be taught throughout the year.

A pēpēha basically is a speech explaining the journey that was taken to have yourself standing here today.

Year 1/2 Mihi:

Kia ora koutou

Ko _______________ tōku pāpā.  (_____ is my dad.)

Ko _______________ tōku māmā.  (_____ is my mum)

Kō _______________ ahau.

E _________ āku tau.  (I am _____ years old)

Year 3/4 Mihi

Tēna koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa

Ko _______________ rāua ko _______________ ōku tūpuna. (Grandfather & mother maiden name)

Ko _______________ tōku pāpā. (Dad)

Ko _______________ tōku māmā. (Mum with maiden name)

 Kō _______________ ahau. (You)

E _________ āku tau.   (I am ______ years old)

Year 5/6 Mihi
